2 inch Traditional Japanese Shikibuton – Handmade Organic Mattress

Our Shikibuton is a traditional Japanese-style mattress that’s lightweight, breathable, and incredibly versatile. Designed for comfort and space-saving flexibility, it can be folded or stored away when not in use—perfect for tiny homes, small apartments, guest rooms, or any space where versatility matters.

Handmade in San Diego by our skilled seamsters (crafting organics since the 1990s), each Shikibuton is made with GOTS Certified Organic Cotton Damask fabric and filled with pure EcoWool batting—absolutely no additives, no boric acid, and no hidden “natural” treatments. The tufting yarn is also 100% natural wool.

We include two large cotton/latex elastic straps for easy rolling and storage.
