Pure Organic Cotton. No Plasticized Barrier.
Most dust mite barrier fabrics rely on a plasticized or synthetic barrier to achieve their protective properties. Ours doesn’t.
We source this specialty fabric through a production house that has it made specifically without plasticization. The barrier comes from the extraordinarily tight weave of the cotton itself—not from polyurethane, plasticizers, synthetic membranes, coatings, or chemical finishes.
Made from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton with a 4.5 micron pore size, it creates a physical barrier against dust mites, pet dander, mold spores, and other common household allergens while remaining naturally breathable.
This specialty, plastic-free construction is also why our comforter protector costs more than conventional alternatives. It’s a more difficult fabric to source, and we choose it specifically because it allows us to offer something exceptionally hard to find: a true dust mite barrier for your comforter made from organic cotton alone.
Designed to fully encase your comforter beneath your duvet cover, it helps keep allergens contained while protecting the cleanliness and longevity of the comforter inside.

WHY IT’S DIFFERENT
There are less expensive ways to make a dust mite barrier. Adding a plasticized layer is one of them.
We chose the harder-to-source option: an exceptionally tightly woven organic cotton that does the job without plastic.
Use it between your comforter and duvet cover for breathable, natural protection that doesn’t compromise the materials you’ve carefully chosen for your bed.
