I was born into a family with a deep connection to sleep. My mother brought me to work at our family’s sleep shop, bouncing me on her knee as she carefully helped each customer find their perfect rest. From a very early age, I was wired to help people sleep better. My first job was in my grandparents' store, It's Bedtime, in Katy, Texas.

Our family’s journey continued in San Diego, where Bedder Buy Discount Outlet provided the community with Simmons, Serta, and Sealy mattresses, as well as local & independent options since 1991. Each summer, I spent time in the store, learning the art of personalized sleep solutions from my father.

After earning a degree in Communication from UC San Diego and working in video production at a marketing agency, I was driven by a passion to nurture smaller, eco-conscious brands. In 2014, I reimagined our family business, rebranding it as Sleep Bedder, focusing on natural, independent products designed to enhance well-being.

In 2018, the opportunity arose to convert the 40-year-old auto body shop next door into the next iteration of our business—Sleep Bedder at Sommeil. With our own outdoor space, we introduced a plant shop and hosted fabulous events and gatherings. It was here that we fine-tuned our offerings, experimenting with various brands, textiles, and bed styles, while deepening our understanding of the distinctions between eco-friendly, natural, and organic labels.
